Photography Project

Domestic Violence is a harsh abuse that ruins and separates family, friends and other loved ones. The abuse comes in different shapes and forms. Regardless of the term, it all means abuse that occurs between married couples, cohabiting partners, dating partners or relatives and will most likely involve children and siblings, regardless of age, gender sexual orientation or economic status. My work illustrates the abuse in two different households. A couple who think they are in love but their love is harmful for both of them and the second household illustrates the aftermath of an abused child by his father. They love each other but the toxicity of their love is harmful for both lovers. Their love is harmful and gets to the extent of abuse.

Food Photography

Food unites individuals from all walks of life, ethnicities, and civilizations. Food has the ability to evoke memories and may also be handed down through generations. Baking is a kind of artistic expression in this scenario. When words fail to express what you're trying to say, only food will suffice. In 2020, we experienced a humanitarian catastrophe that resulted in a lockdown, forcing many individuals to stay at home and do things they had never done before. I was fortunate to have the recipes and expertise to begin baking. Being at home during a lockdown brought back memories from my childhood. My aunts and mother used to spend a lot of time baking. My aunt owned a small bakery and baked everything herself. Early in the morning, I remember the fragrance of cooked foods. The aroma of freshly cooked lemon pies, biscuits, and coconut pies wafted across the room. As a result, I began baking using my mother's and aunt's recipes. It turned into a pastime, and then into something I could do with confidence on a regular basis.Through photographs, I was able to capture the moments I spent baking. Baking and photography are a difficult pairing to perfect, but I was able to do both.
